Survives. That's what he does. And then he goes out for coffee, or wine, or dancing, or standing before world leaders and fighting for the release of other captives, or whatever he feels like doing. He's still finding his way home.

Jeff has 34 years of public speaking experience at events as diverse as presentations of his research at scientific workshops to Sunday morning church services.
Hostage Advocacy
Since his release in 2023, Jeff has been working to end the barbarisms of hostage taking, illegal detention, and human trafficking of all sorts.
Books
From Nowhere to Forever is currently awaiting publishing. Jeff hopes it will be available sometime in 2025. It’s a work of narrative non-fiction that describes Jeff’s experience of six- and one-half years as an Al Qaeda hostage in northern Mali.
