Hostage taking, illegal detention and human trafficking of all sorts dehumanizes people. It is evil and must be stopped. Jeff has been working to do his part in ending this barbarism by bringing other hostages home. He began this work shortly after his release in 2023, working on the case of Iulian Ghergut, a Romanian held by the same terrorist organization that held him. His efforts were successful, and Iulian returned home after 8 years in captivity.
Jeff has worked on other cases as well, and offers assistance to families with loved ones being held as hostages or illegally detained. He has written articles for the James W. Foley Legacy Foundation, and participated in research and programs geared towards improving the U.S. government's policies on hostages and their recovery. This remains a subject very dear to his heart.
