Jeff has 34 years of public speaking experience at diverse events. From speaking at scientific workshops where he’s presented his research to sharing from the pulpit during Sunday morning church services, Jeff is no stranger to a microphone. He taught international development for a semester at Humboldt State University, spoke at missions conferences, taught at security conferences and military survival schools, and read at poetry slams.

He brings a wealth of unique experience to his speaking events, including 27 years of service as a missionary/humanitarian in Africa, as well as six and a half years as a hostage. He knows how to survive trauma and how to overcome its effects. The events that have shaped his life, as well as his faith, have given him a perspective that is fresh and challenging. Add on to that the ability to craft and deliver an engaging message, and you have a fine public speaker.
